Roluos Group

Roluos Group This historical site was called “Hariharalaya”. It used to be the first capital city of Angkor Era, which established by the King Jayavarman II (802-850). Although the king had moved the city to Kulen in AD 802, at the end of his life, he moved the city back to Harihalaya.

It remained as the capital city of Angkor until Yasovarman I, one of his successors, moved the City to Bakheng in 905.

Rolous Group includes three temples which were built by Jayavarman I’s successors including Yasovarman I. The structure of those mysterious temples are distinguished from others that demonstrate new styles of temple building in history of Cambodian architecture. Those temple are Preah Kor temple, Bakong temple and Lolei temple.
